Football showed its ugly side thanks to certain fans during the match between Raja Casablanca and FUS Rabat. Riots started and 55 people were arrested.
A spokesperson for the Casablanca Police told 'EFE' that 12 police officers were injured after being attacked with rocks by a group of fans, who tried to get into the stadium without a ticket.
These arguments caused material damage as well. 10 vehicles were damaged, seven of which were the police force's.
The security forces did everything they could to stop the violence. The police had to resort to using water cannons to disperse the crowds.
In Morocco they are used to unrest caused by ultras, especially those who support the two big clubs in Casablanca - Raja and Wydad.
