If there is one thing that is satisfying to watch in a football match, it is team goals, complex moves that, thanks to the understanding of the players on the pitch, result in goals that are often works of art.
Well, one of Arsene Wenger's Arsenal masterpieces is 10 years old today. On 19th October 2013 Jack Wilshere finished off a Gunners team move that would go on to become one of the most iconic goals in Arsenal's history.
Five first touches were played between Jack Wilshere, Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla before resulting in the goal. No Norwich players touched the ball.
The star of the team at the time Mesut Ozil was quick to praise the incredible team move: "It was real 'tiki-taka' - almost like they were playing PlayStation! It was an unbelievable goal"
Arsene Wenger continued in the same vein and labelled it one of the best goals in the history of the English club. "It was certainly one of the best [Arsenal] goals, one that I enjoyed the most as well because it was a team goal. This one was a mixture of technical quality, speedy thinking, quick reaction and as well being calm in front of goal," said the manager. 10 years have gone by since a goal that lives rent-free in the heads of Gunners' fans.
